Life Drawing - 25min poses

I had a pretty good morning at life drawing Saturday.

I threw away a few disasters but salvaged some lessons from today's experience.


I'm beginning to utilize some of the advice of Richard Schmid from his book Alla Prima in identifying edges and blocking in values while also incorporating line drawing to identify my proportions and add some flourish here and there.

Here are the results of thursday night. I'm slowly getting braver with my materials, this time around I decided to tempt fate and use a mechanical pencil.

Ray and I arrived late to this pose and it was getting progessively colder in the short time we were there... she started nude, but then shortly put on a jacket and within minutes whe went on a break from which she never returned... would've liked at least 15 more minutes with this one...

I went to an awesome weekly figure drawing session today in downtown Seattle. It's held in the Art-Not-Terminal Gallery ...a very nice set up downstairs in an Art Co-op.
