Hey Guys - Here's a few different color-comps of the same piece -- could you chime-in on which (if any) read well to you? (they're numbered 1-9 on the page)
The latest coffee shop drawin' o' mine. I took this a little further in photoshop afterwards. I wish I would have drawn more attention to her robo-arm. Maybe I'll make another pass on it.
Hi All! So, Nate and I went down and checked out Dr. Sketchy's at the Pink Elephant Room on East Colfax this evening (http://www.myspace.com/dr_sketchys_denver). I completely enjoyed the experience. The model, a Rocky Mountain Rollergirl and Burlesque dancer by the name of LaPetiteMort was a fine poser, says I. It's interesting in that they will do a series of 1 minunte and 5 minute poses then break for a costume change, then a series of 10 minute poses - another break, and finally a 20 minute pose. In between each pose set willing artists can hang work up in fun competition critiques for goffy little prizes (I walked away with a Dale Jr. heart-shaped tin full of Valentine's chocolate and a Dr. Sketchy's 2008 calendar - pretty sweet!). The venue is cool - it has a definite arthouse vibe - and there was great music playing for the whole session. Also, this was the first real life drawing I have done in some time, so it felt damn good. I pulled out a few doodles I was reasonably happy with. Enjoy...
